From what I can see so far, you do not have much or anything close to Los Angeles Ca. I already have a private practice internship, but I wanted to get a part time paid internship that might lead to a position in a group or an agency of many Mental Health care professionals. Tell me what I could expect if I was to pay your fee? I would be willing to try for a month, but I would like to know what kind of paid opportunities you have in or around Los Angeles CA.

@Dana – thanks for your comment! You’re right, the LA area is currently underrepresented on our site. The CounselingInternships.com promise is that we’ll provide at least 5 listings within 14 days of sign up in that area. I am in a town (Winston-Salem, NC) where the concept of internship computes mostly for undergrads(usually BSW). Master’s level internships are almost non-existent. Paid internships??? Fuh’getaboutit! Looking to relocate at the earliest possible opportunity. Las Cruces, New Mexico; DC; Chicago; Denver; Phoenix/Glendale/Sedona/Scottsdale; any place but here! Not much available in these areas on your list. I am in the second 8-week module of my internship (ending Nov. 2013)and I am very afraid! I want to get as rich an experience as possible before sitting for my LPC-A so that when I enter the Supervision phase for the LPC, I will be well-rounded. Also, whatever happened to all the talk from the ACA about the VA recognizing and hiring LPC’s? I am interested in becoming a member as I will need a good source for finding an LPC-S within the next year.

Thanks for your post. Remember, if there aren’t listings in a particular area, it doesn’t mean we can’t find some. We post what we find without concentrating on any one geographic locale, till someone lets us know they’re looking! Join up and we’ll do the same for you!
